Welcome to the Helperby VX Club website!

Helperby VX Club is one of the youngest clubs - and one of the few to survive the Covid pandemic.

It was set up as an offshoot of Easi-RockIts and, initially, was primarily for younger players.

Now many of those players have grown older and the club caters for a wide age-range.  They are all mixed in together and work very well together.

As there are few opportunities for competition at the moment, the club concentrates more on recreational VX.

Who's who?

Paul Hildreth

Paul is the club's Head Coach.  He was also one of the leading figures in the sport.  He was Head Coach of the England VX Squad until he retired from that position in 2019 which was the same time he retired (undefeated in the Masters category) from formal V2 competition.

He's actually stepped down from VX but enjoys this club so much he decided to keep it on.  As he says 'this is a wonderful group of young people.  They are a delight to work with.'

Matt Dundon

Matt has come through the ranks and has qualified as a coach.  As Assistant Coach he looks after sessions when Paul is unavailable
